Plant a Row for the Food Bank
A partner project with Feeding Umpqua
Plant a Row for the Food Bank is a people-helping-people program where community members can pick up free seed packets from various locations and register to donate part of the bounty to Feeding Umpqua Food Bank (formerly UCAN). Our goal for 2022 is to donate 2022 pounds of produce from backyard gardeners, school gardens, and anyone else who chooses to participate. We have partnered with Roseburg Public Library as a host site for our seed library. While the library has temporarily closed to the public due to the pandemic, seeds can be picked up at While Away Books on Harvard. Participants can register on-site by scanning a QR code or filling out a paper registration form. Anyone can register without visiting the seed library by clicking the link below. When dropping off produce at Feeding Umpqua, be sure to let them know it’s part of the Plant a Row program so we can track donations!
Thank you for helping increase the fresh fruit and vegetables that Feeding Umpqua provides to food pantries throughout the county!
